Frequently Asked Questions

A soft serve margarita is a frozen margarita with a smooth, creamy, aerated texture, served from soft serve equipment. Its final consistency will be similiar to soft serve ice cream and depends on the recipe, sugar and alcohol balance, machine settings, and operating procedure.

Spaceman recommends the 6235-C for dual-flavor countertop service, the 6236-C for single-flavor countertop service, and the 6378-C for high-volume twin-twist floor service. Confirm your recipe and final machine setup with Spaceman before launch.

No. Frozen drink machines are designed for slush-style beverages and will produce a different texture. For a soft serve-style margarita, Spaceman recommends selected soft serve models. There are extra ingrediants required to make the product ideal for a soft serve product, which are not included in frozen drink products. Confirm your desired texture and recipe before choosing equipment.

Alcohol lowers a margarita mix’s freezing point, which affects how it freezes and dispenses. Sugar, water, stabalizers, and other ingredients also influence consistency. Test the complete recipe with Spaceman or the mix supplier before service rather than adjusting one ingredient in isolation.

Choose a one-flavor machine when your menu is focused, space is limited, or you are testing the concept. Choose a twin-twist machine when you want to serve two flavors plus a combined twist and have the demand to support a larger setup.

A Spaceman rep will train staff on the approved recipe, machine settings, startup, serving, product monitoring, and the cleaning and sanitizing steps in the current model manual. Also establish any food-safety and alcohol-service procedures required for your location.

A soft serve margarita needs the right balance of sugar, alcohol, stabalizers, water, and other ingredients to freeze and dispense properly. These are different in a soft serve setting, with a higher brix and the addition of stabalizers. A standard frozen cocktail recipe may not work unchanged. Test the complete recipe with Spaceman or the mix supplier for your selected soft serve model.

Yes, Spaceman soft serve machines are all certified to hold product refrigerated over night in standby. Be sure to check local food-safety and alcohol-handling requirements. Follow the current machine manual and approved recipe guidance. Standby or refrigeration features do not replace required cleaning, sanitizing, product storage, or discard procedu

Spaceman machines can serve the first product in as little as four minutes from startup, but soft serve margarita recipes should be tested before launch to confirm final freeze time and consistency. Sizing the machine properly based on serving size and servings per minute or hour is neccesary in order to select the proper model. See Spacemans sizing guide, or talk to a representitive to find the best fit.

Soft serve margarita machine requirements vary by model. Before ordering, confirm the machine’s dimensions, weight, countertop or floor support, ventilation clearance, voltage, amperage, plug type, and service access using the current specification sheet.
